Photography Process:

For the Light pictures, I couldn’t get too much light at the Rexburg LDS Temple but I thought it was an interesting take on the sky, how it is white against the greyish temple. The indoor picture was much better, I took it right after Devotional and there is a soft light set up to shine on the flowers so it worked out for a beautiful snap of the bouquet arrangement. I love the white green and color of the wood all in the same picture.

For my Focus pictures, I’m sad to say I couldn’t get a great shot of foreground/background blur. I tried and this was my outcome. Not much more to say, but it was another interesting take on the view of the temple nearby me.

For the Composition pictures, I took a picture of the statue in front of the Smith/behind the Manwaring. The eyes of the statue are on the line of the top third. The subject is also facing in toward the center of the photo. The second photo of the Temple shows the steeple in the first third coming from the left with part of a tree in the right third. Trees are offset from the middle also, to keep the photo balanced and throw some color in.

Overall, I learned how to better orient my photo subjects so they are more visually appealing and not awkward in the center or facing the wrong way. I was amazed with the quality of the PowerShot that I checked out so it was great to get some quality photos in my files.
